Epica Wireless Advanced Weather Station Review
The close to fifty customers who wrote their reviews on this Epica weather station gave it an average rating of 3.6 stars. Although there were several customers who gave it a perfect 5.0-star rating, there were also many of them who were not too happy with their purchase.
Among the main points that the customers loved about this weather station was its easy to read display, since it was found to be bright and clear to the eyes. They also liked how it was very simple to set up, estimated by one user at about five minutes, and several of the reviewers confirmed that it worked without a flaw. One reviewer commended this unit especially for including a way to measure humidity. Of course, that was because he lived in a rather humid area, so he felt that it was a great tool to have. The reviewers also liked how it kept track of moon phases. It was also confirmed to be both accurate and reliable, with one customer being especially impressed with the local weather forecasts that it gave. Another customer added that the night light feature was a great perk, and that he would happily recommend it to family and friends.
One reviewer had the initiative to add a cautionary comment, actually, of placing the outdoor sensor in a shaded place so as to keep the sun from shining right onto it, which would obviously give higher temperature readings than the actual. Perhaps this was why another customer complained about its temperatures not being accurate. Interestingly, one of the reviewers who did not really like this unit complained about the unit constantly indicating rain, although it never did rain. Another user described it as a worthless item with a very incorrigible set of instructions in the manual. Another reviewer found the display to be very dim and hard to read, while yet another customer tested the readings and complained that they were not really consistent. At least one more customer actually went so far as to call customer service to complain about the inaccuracy, and he described the experience as “a joke.”
With the relatively numerous customers who had complaints and issues with this weather station, we could not, in all good conscience, recommend this weather station for your use. It might be a better idea to consider more reliable brands, albeit at a higher price.
